Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Teens Program follows on from the foundation learnings from our Juniors Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Program with the aim to make self-defence practical and fun for your child.

Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Teens Program expands their knowledge of take downs, escapes, transitional drills between positions as well as expand on submissions. Your child is never never taught unsafe techniques or techniques that aren’t permitted under the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) rules.

Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Teens Program is further enhanced by teaching your child how to control an aggressor without hurting them or themselves. An example a schoolyard setting where your child is being bullied (verbally or physically) by another child.

The topic of self-defence, what is reasonable force compared with excessive force is thoroughly explained in our teens program at Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Your kids will get a great insight and have a clear understanding of how much force they are legally allowed to use to stop the threat they may face.

Whilst other styles of martial arts use striking elements (fists, kicks, elbows and knees) as their defence, Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches your child to use verbal assertiveness and non-violent self-defence techniques to stay safe. Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu won’t teach your kids to punch or kick. That’s not our style or the style of our martial art. Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will teach your child leverage-based holds and positions to neutralise the threat without violence.

Learning at Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an incredible opportunity for your child to learn how to persevere on the mats so that they can persevere in life.
